Where to start...it began so long ago....

We met at the end of our sophomore years at CSU in Ft.Collins. In a beginning that only Hollywood could script, our first meeting was less than positive. We lived at Green Hall and had a mutual friend in common, Jeff Nowak. Jeff and Bruce were good friends and Mo would occasionally play volleyball with Jeff. Trying to make small talk while in the hallway one day, Mo asked Bruce if he new another friend of hers who had attended high school with him. Bruce was less than interested in the small talk, said, "it was a big place," and walked away. Sensing irritation, Mo made a statement to Jeff, "Your friend Bruce doesn't like me that much." To which Jeff replied, "Bruce doesn't like people much."

Several weeks passed and we began playing more and more volleyball together. Culminating in Bruce finally suggesting they should try a date. Mo accepted and the rest is history. The first date was at a restaurant in Ft. Collins called Cuisine Cuisine. A small hole in the wall in old town Ft. Collins. Neither of us having transportation, we walked all the way there and back. Which, from where our dorm was, a great distance. From the time of our first date, there was just about a month before we would go our separate ways for summer break. This would begin the first of a few summers of epic letter writing and long phone calls.

Our Junior years found Mo in Braiden Hall and Bruce in Durwood Hall. We were happy biking couple then as we still had no other form of transportation. We said a farewell to Jeff, who decided to drop out of school and move back to Florida. He had been a great friend to us and we think felt a great deal of pride in bringing us together. Senior years, we finally moved off campus. Bruce to a house on Hillcrest and Mo to an apartment off of Taft Hill. Bruce was working at Canino's and The Egg and I while going to school and Mo was finishing her internship at a youth center in the old town area of Ft. Collins. Bruce asked Mo to marry him that year and she turned him down. Too young, not ready she thought. We graduated in the spring of 1992, quite unsure of what would be next. After about three months of working in a day care in Steamboat, Mo moved to Denver in August to begin working as a crisis counselor at Excelsior Youth Center. She lived with Bruce and his parents in Aurora, not far from EYC. Bruce was continuing with his culinary career and worked for Bienvenutos's. Mo would stay at EYC for almost seven years. Bruce had a little more variety in his career.

Bruce began working for Pace Laboratories Inc. in Golden as a radiochemist in 1993. His work at Pace would eventually lead him to Minnesota. He accepted a position in their Minneapolis office as a Database Administrator. Mo elected to stay in Colorado. January 1995, Bruce moved to Minnesota. This was a long and difficult year. More epic letter writing and long phone calls. Speckled by and occasaional trip by Mo to visit Bruce in the frozen or sweltering north. Mo still worked at EYC and Bruce seemed to enjoy the city of Minneapolis. Eventually, the distance between them wore thin and future of Pace Inc. did not seem bright. Bruce came home for Christmas, interviewed with a downtown law firm, Holland and Hart, and made the move back to Denver in January of 1996. Bruce asked Mo to marry him again with "Engagement Pearls." Mo accepted, but they just never got around to it. Bruce and Mo lived with his parents upon his return and saved money towards the purchase of a house.

In November of 1998, we found our house on Atlantic Place. We had an incredibly patient and thorough agent who helped us immensely. We weren't too interested in the cookie cutter homes springing up around Denver and wanted something with a little charm. 4875 Atlantic was that place. Hardwood floors, brick and a ranch. While difficult, Bruce's mom, Lois, reluctantly allowed Charley to come with us.

In May of 1999, Mo finally left EYC and went to Denver Staffing, where she remains today. Bruce also made a change that year and began working for RNB Co. RNB ultimately became Viawest Internet Services, where Bruce is the VP of Operations.

April of 2000 brought us June Bug. Our new Scottish Terrier puppy. One of the intial goals in getting Bug was to be a companion to Charley. Little did we know, she would turn out to be the source of constant annoyance to him. He tolerates her for the most part and she lives to be around him. She was, and at times still is, a handful. She is a never ending source of amusement for us and her genuine thrill at being alive is an inspiration. She is one happy dog.

Early in November of 2000, Bruce again asked Mo to marry him, and this time she accepted. The two of us had been down this road before, so we wanted to get some things started before we told anyone. We began marriage prep classes with Deacon Frank in December and told Bruce's parents on Christmas eve. We followed this by traveling to Buena Vista in a blizzard to tell Mo's family. Both families were thrilled, and somewhat relieved we believe. After 11 years, they would finally tie the knot.

So, this is the history up until now. A highly abridged version of eleven years. Bruce maintains he "always knew." I guess deep down, Mo did too. In the early days of dating, Bruce looked at Mo's CD collection and decided she was the one. The contributing CD's were Lloyd Cole, Dire Straits and the Cowboy Junkies. To this day, these three remain some of our favorites.

Thank you to all who have been there to support us along the way. There have been many ups and downs, but we have somehow managed to stick together.
