Author: Cat Cora Title: Cooking from the Hip Read: Summer 2007 Format: Text Reviewer: bek
This cookbook didn't work for me. It is supposed to be a book about cooking in the "new style" - using what you
have around the house, some creativity, and a time crunch to be able to produce something yummy for dinner.
Unlike some other books in this style, Cora is unable to capture the ideas about using what you have. Her recipes
often hinge around one key ingredient with no immediate substitutes and no likely chance of showing up in anyone's
fridge or pantry unless you happen to be employed by the Food Network.
