I haven't decided if well photographed cookbooks are aiming at the cook or the coffee table. I do appreciate seeing the presentation and wonder if the savings passed along to the consumer are genuine for those books that don't provide pictures. With that being said, this book is well photographed, possibly even too stylized. The recipes are difficult, fragmented, incomplete and cross culinary boundaries. We're living in a world of fusion cuisine, but this book is advertised as being Vietnamese and the recipes drift around.
