During the dot.com error, I worked for a ".net". We got some funding, and yes, we even bought some Aeron chairs. I became very fond of mine. When I left the company, my chair had to stay behind. I just couldn't bring myself to pay for the chair, even though I knew how much I liked it. When I started my new job, the generic office chairs confirmed how awful it is to sit in something that isn't well thought out.

Nearly two years passed. I was at the "As-Is Workstations" office salvage shop in north downtown Denver. Besides picking up cheap work surfaces, they have a few of the HM Mirra. I picked it up for more than 75% off of list. I don't have the Aeron to compare side by side, but the Mirra could even exceed the effort put into the original chair.
